M Wheeler Pease’s landscape paintings are generally representational in style with occasional added abstract elements. She wants the viewer to experience a moment in time, feel the breeze or catch the scent of the Earth. Marilyn paints from live settings as well as reference photographs, looking for unique ingredients that make each painting a true original. In addition to landscapes, she has illustrated five children’s books for a Canadian publisher and painted large scale commissioned works employing elements of fantasy.
M Wheeler Pease’s paintings are accomplished with the best of materials whether she is employing oil or acrylics. Self-taught in large part, her travels have provided added inspiration to her works regardless of the medium or subject. M Wheeler Pease’s art is held in collections in Canada and the United States.
